Letter to Director of Cultural Affairs (City of Houston) Debbie McNulty
Dear Debbie,
Last week I kept trying to communicate with the Tyra Branch Library and Cy-Fair college. I also sent couple of emails and left couple of messages for Carlos Andres Botero from Houston Symphony.
This is absolutely new approach. Virgin grounds. It seems to me that my way of approaching people is not effective. Here what actions I was trying to take already:
- Governments: Barbara Bush (sent me a nice letter about nothing in return to my proposals in 90-s), Barak Obama (sent me 'not now' letter), President Putin (my method was presented to his cabinet by world renowned Russian pianist Yuri Rozum in 2012 - my proposal still pending between ministry of culture and ministry of education), Ministry of education and culture of Spain (I had a 'successful' presentation in Madrid in 2008 and they were 'very interested' - no actions is taken), Sheikh of Bahrain Abdullah (I presented my program to him in NY in 2009. His last words were 'I will see you in Bahrain in a week or so - will talk to our ministry of education' - didn't hear from him since), President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev (his grand children are learning piano using my method. Nothing happened yet) BTW my method was officially endorsed by Russian and Kazakh ministry of education.
It seems to me like finding the locations one by one is a very slow and ineffective process.
Is it possible to create an event for librarians and fine arts departments of schools and universities to have a short presentation and explanation about what we are trying to do? They will decide who wants to do it and get more enthusiastic about it.
I am also a member of Houston Music Teachers association. We can invite the organization to the meeting too!
Together we can make everything to happen faster.
Let me know, what do you think!
Here is a video recommendation of National artist of Russia Yuri Rozum. He presented my program to the Russian government.
Regards,
