Music education pedagogy

Hello!

I hope you enjoy teaching your child at home. Moreover, I hope now you understand better that building skills gradually is very important for your child.

We don't eat dessert before soup, right? We don't learn how to dance before learning how to keep balance.

Today I will tell you how this common sense rules apply to learning piano for your child's attention.

Physical and Super-structural Problems in Teaching Piano

In piano performance, onomatopoeic (voice) memory, the ability to see the notes, create sounds, hear oneself properly, distribute visual focus, control hands, fingers, and the force of impact represent physical problems.

The ability to evaluate sound and one’s own performance, think figuratively, perform creatively, enjoy performing – represent super-structural problems. This is exactly why we have to develop skills from simple to more advanced.

Piano technique and exercises

1. We continue to improve the playing of the C Major scale with separate and two hands in a divergent movement.

Video example:

2. Exercises for setting the hands of Olga Mikhailovna Egorova: "Clicks". This exercise helps to feel the phalanges of the fingers for mastering plucked sound production and springy staccato. Also, the exercise helps to strengthen the strength of the fingers, the feeling of energy in them.
