Hands On Music Appreciation: Practicing Themes from selected masterpieces on piano and build aural understanding for original works of E.Grieg, G.Handel.P.Tchaikovsky, L.Beethoven, F. Mendelssohn, J. Offenbach, F. Schubert, J.Brahms.

Building skills to recognize composers and pieces after listening short segments of music.

Performing themes from learned music pieces with both hands with or without notation.

Piano technique, fine motor skills development, fingers management :

Practicing Hanon #2, Chromatic scale, C, G and F Major scales in parallel and contrary motions, Triads and Triad inversions, arpedgios with metronome and without, gradually increasing speed of exercises.

Piano performance: getting skills to memorize piano pieces of Level 2-3 (Level may be increased for some individuals) and polish them for the artistic playing.Working on phrasing, articulation, dynamics. Learning and practicing different interpretations.

Sight-reading : piano pieces of Level 1 from different Albums of Soft Mozart library in keys with up to 2 sharps and flats. Transposing some pieces with I II III to the keys with up to 2-3 sharps and flats.

Sight-singing: singing the Level 1 piano pieces and transposing some in keys with up to 2-3 sharps and flats

Ear Training and Music Dictations:

- Improving skills to converting sounds to music notes and vice versa

- Building skills to memorize music of Level 1

- Musical dictations: writing memorized pieces of Lev 1 on music paper

- Building skills to pick shell chords to different melodies in Minor.

Music Theory:
- speed reciting the third and sixth (second circle of Music Alphabet)
- time signatures
- practical application: placing bar lines in musical dictations according to time signatures
- practical intervals: building skills to grasp different intervals visually in Treble and Bass Clef
- Practicing T S D shell chords from different keys in Major and Minor (up to 2-3 sharps and flats)

 

Improvisation and composition: creating melodies and shell chords in tonalities with up to 1 key signatures (Major and Minor)
