"Share Good Knowledge" - pedagogical practice for children and adults in the Soft Mozart Academy
The greatest strength of the Soft Mozart system is its pedagogical effectiveness.
Every beginner, who knows how to work with the program modules, in fact, is already the owner of new, useful information, knowledge, skills and abilities.
This information already exists in scientific publications, but so far it is not widely used in practice: even professionals with a higher musical education do not yet possess the knowledge that ordinary Soft Mozart children acquire when mastering their lessons.
Thus, our students have already learned in practice that:
- The stave is a holistic, symmetrical system for integrating the vibrations (presented by the piano keys) and the lines/spaces of the Staff
- White, but not black keys are reliable guides to the Grand Staff
- The Music Alphabet is a way of mastering the music language through speech memory.
- Eye-Hand Span and its concrete score of the interactive technology helps to assess the development level of the motor skills
- Duration of notes is a process in which there is a beginning, development and completion. That - according to Eye-Hand Span score - it is possible to understand whether a person is ready for challenges in sight-reading or not.
- Music text can be presented in different formats for the most effective adaption by visual perception, etc. etc.
We often like to say that bad things are easier for children to grasp than good things.
Have we tried teaching how to teach good things?
In order for children to easily grasp the good, they need to experience instructing others through pedagogical practice. After receiving substantial amount of experience the students can study theory later.
This should be done from early childhood because this skill is vital for every child in daily life.
A 3 year old Michael from Moscow is teaching his babysitter how to play Jingle Bells (The Butterfly Ball-2022)
By teaching others, we learn more effectively.
Even 2-3-year-old kids working with Soft Mozart modules and curriculum are able to show their parents or acquaintances what needs to be done in order to learn a piece from the sheet music.
Such pedagogical practice of children helps them to convey their information correctly, to be able to hear and understand the response actions of another person, to rejoice in the successes of their "students" and learn to be proud of their successes in transferring useful knowledge.
After such an experience, children are even more responsible for their own studies and try not to lose face in front of those whom they undertook to instruct.
In this regard, the very receipt of a musical education acquires a rather significant meaning: every person, even the smallest, wants to be useful to others. Instructing others from early childhood develops both a sense of responsibility and a desire for self-improvement.
The Soft Mozart training course has all the components for the socialization of children and the growth of their self-awareness.
During 20 years of approbation of the program in the classrooms of public and private schools, we have seen that this course creates a very unique environment for communication between students.
Passion for music making by following the course unites children within a class and generations within a family. It is not only focusing kids on self-development, but contributes to this process in the format of socialization. Soft Mozart students are happy to share their achievements, because no one compares them with anyone.
The assessment is given only by the Eye-Hand Span figures of the program. By competing with a computer, children develop independence from evaluative subjective opinions and develop self-confidence.
The Soft Mozart Academy training course is the best guide for beginners of any age to start teaching practice, or provide their master classes for their family members, friends, neighbors, anyone who wants to.
Such activity also promotes in children the development of understanding their own personal boundaries as well as the respect for the personal boundaries of others.
Soft Mozart education is based on the respect for the student's personal boundaries, and it is this active use during the instructional time helps youngsters to socialize more easily and effectively in society.
Soft learning, in which there is no drills and forceful practice, creating motivation, a support system, the skill of a positive assessment - this is what every person of any age absorbs when he/she starts developing within the Soft Mozart Academy.
This skill is difficult to overestimate in the daily life of every person! The earlier a child begins to develop in this direction, the more healthy, balanced and happy his/her relationships in society will be.
Introduction of the PEDAGOGY subject into the curriculum of the Soft Mozart Academy.
The academic recital "Butterfly Ball"- 2022 became a historical milestone in the development of the Soft Mozart Academy.
For the first time in a decade, the children who took part in the concert were invited to teach their relatives or friends and post their results in their blogs dedicated for their recital videos.
The results exceeded all our expectations!
The children coped with the task, becoming the conductors of new knowledge for their environment, which greatly enriched their experience of participating in the Academic Recital.
Each student of the Soft Mozart Academy who has the software license at home and works with a certified teacher on this system can and should start his teaching practice, for which we create a separate category on the forum.
Rules for conducting teaching practice can be found at this link.
Happy learning!
Sincerely,
Hellene Hiner
