Soft Mozart In Piano Studios

Sunny

A teacher's perspective: Why I love Soft Mozart

What every piano teacher loves to see is when a student runs into her studio, jumps on a keyboard to show eagerly what he/she learned during the week. That is the true testimony to the Soft Mozart program. In fact, when there is more than one student in a family, they have to decide with “rock, paper, scissors” to determine who goes first! That’s the excitement and enthusiasm they have about learning with the Soft Mozart Program.
There are many reasons why I love Soft Mozart and why I have used it in my studio for over 10 years. It is far superior to the typical boring method books. When introducing note reading to the student, they play computer games. The students are allowed to make less than 5 mistakes in sight-reading which is taught in a logical and more gradually challenging approach.

They are taught how to memorize a song by “hiding” the notes but when they make a mistake, the computer gives them the correct note to play. That, to me is one of the best features of the program, as I, personally, had always struggled with memorizing a song. There is nothing else that trains the ears as well as Soft Mozart. The students can name the chords first, and then when we hide the chords, they can play it by ear. Soft Mozart also helps the student understand how to transpose from one key to another. Several of my students can now play several songs like Happy Birthday in all 12 keys which they did on their own! They can “hear” the correct notes.
Learning how to sight-read is something that many students, particularly with good ears, struggle. Soft Mozart gives them knowledge and skills to see their own progress which helps to develop their self-confidence.
After a while, the student can select the song they like and want to learn instead of my always assigning the song. While exploring the songbooks, they listen for pure pleasure in anticipation of being able to learn a song in the future even if their little hands aren’t quite ready or big enough to reach an octave, i.e. Rondo Alla Turqua (Turkish March by Mozart).
The best feature about Soft Mozart is that it teaches valuable musical skills in a fun, non-threatening and compassionate way so that the student will enjoy making music for a lifetime.

If a teacher is considering using the Soft Mozart system, it is essential to be trained and certified in order to teach it properly, otherwise it’s like flying blind. There is a wealth of material in the course and it is unlike any other method.
Having proper guidance is a BIG plus for both teacher AND student.

Best way to learn
We use this software for paino lessons for more than two years now, and our both kids have made an amazing progress. Lisa, who is 10, is a confident piano player already. Even more - she is so encouraged to play a music instrument that she gladly joined two other programms offered by her school and plays now recorder and violin in the school strin

g orchestra as well. All because her first expirience with piano was so positive! Roman, who is 6, is a hyperactive child, where I could never think, he is able to play an instrument at all. But I was wrong! Using Soft Mozart he learned to play straight away with two hands. Bright coloured pictures, supporting melodies and musical games keep his attention, and he has an amazing feeling of success. I'm so gald glad our teacher Irina Suponytska recommended us Soft Mozart!

This program is heaven sent!
I started Soft mozart in 1999 as an assistant teacher with Mrs. Hiner because I believed wholeheartedly in this method & saw 2yr. old children play with both hands after 1-2 lessons! I bought this program a month ago for my 5yr. old daughter to share the joy of piano with her! It keeps her attention easily & she is progressing well! The

graphics are good & help guide the student. I highly recommend this program to anyone wanting to learn Piano pain-free!
