Guess Key® will teach you the piano geography without looking at your hands.
With this module you have great chance to develop perfect pitch, if you will sing solfeggio during your practice.
Press any piano key with a note name (sticker or key guide) corresponding with a symbol on falling fruit or flower bud. If several notes in a row are played correctly (the number depends of the module stage), the program will switch to the next level of difficulty. Every correct note will give more points, but notes will move faster. Two mistakes in a row will switch the module to the lower level of difficulty. You have 7 different trees to complete to finish the module.
Use any convenient octave on the piano keyboard. Play with only one hand, left or right. Try to not look at the piano keys while playing.
If you want to develop your voice, ear and perfect pitch, we recommend you to use Solfeggio syllables (press letter I on your computer keyboard) and sing every note that you play out loud.
The module concentrates on notes within a single octave, which helps you to recognize the keys much faster, even without looking at the piano keyboard.
This basic skill is crucial for piano playing because this key pattern is the same throughout all octaves.
Special key stickers/key guides should be used for as long as you need them.
In advanced levels of difficulty, the rhythm of the program will force you to use you ear and coordination more intensively.
Ideally you can finish the module in 27 minutes (5 minutes module time), but the timing schedule should be used in moderation.
Please, contact our professionals for your customized guidelines for playing this module!
It is not music composition. I made the exercises as less musical as possible to avoid any memorization of the material.
These exercises will help your eyes to focus on the lines and grasp corresponding keys simultaneously.
I recommend playing these etudes on 2, 4, 5 and 6 visual modes (press 2, 4, 5 or 6 on your computer keyboard). Use of 1 and 3 may distract you from the perception of the lines.
