Letter from the Kingdom of Tune #16. Mr. Oops: Do we need to finish reading the Nutcracker fairy tale to the mice?
Hello!
Mr. Oops is writing to you.
You probably already know me. The book “What is Music and What is Noise?” was written about me, and the film of the same name was shot. I also starred in the movie “What It Takes to Make Mistakes.” Do you remember me now?
I am sending the picture from the “Music and Noise” book to help you to recall the story!
I did not know how to play the piano at all and made a lot of noise. And now I study at Soft Mozart Academy and have not only learned how to play, but even help others cope with mistakes.
If you learn a song with the help of Gentle Piano and do not hold the key long enough, you will wake me up. I will show up and let you know that the note is not over yet!
I can help you listen up to the length of each note! Do you know how important this is? The ability not to interrupt and listen makes you smarter.
Have you had time to see me in action when you played the Note Alphabet? Am I right that with my help it is easier to understand when what you are doing is correct and what it is not?
You probably already know that the Guard, Caterpillar and I are now guests in the Kingdom of Mice.
I want to introduce you to my new friends. This is Mouse Sol. He is learning to play the violin, and his tail looks like the Treble clef!
Did you try to draw the treble clef? It is not easy at all!
I am also working on being able to draw that. But the Mouse Sol has prepared an exercise for us, and now you can practice: just trace the key along the contours until you learn to draw without any help.
And I also have a friend Mouse Fa. He plays the Double Bass, and he has a tail like the bass clef:
It is a little easier to draw the Bass Clef, but it also takes practice! The main thing is that two points near the key should be around the second line from the top. The Mouse Fa also prepared you a page with an exercise for drawing:
I like to draw the clefs. I hope you will also have a lot of fun with this!
I'm sorry! The Queen's Guard just called me.
I will finish this letter a little later! Meanwhile, please keep practicing drawing the clefs.
You have not yet fallen asleep while I was gone?
We have something very interesting happening here!
When I heard “Oops!” I rushed to the aid of the Guard. You know I always do that if someone calls me by name.
I came running, and the Guard was lying down and acting very sad.
“What happened?” I asked.
"I made a mistake! And now we may not get an appointment with the Mouse King!” the Guard told me.
"And what's wrong?" I asked.
“In the fairy tale, the Mouse King is evil and nasty. I forgot about it when I read the story to the mice kindergartners.”
"Oops!" I said: "Did the kids get very upset?"
“Fortunately, I didn’t read this chapter!” the Guard answered. "Spider caught my words and hid them in his cobweb."
"The Mouse King was not bad! He was just wrong,” I advised.
“Well, I'm not a magician to remake a fairy tale! It only happens in the circus: once -- and the evil Mouse becomes a Good Guy!” the Guard said sadly.
Our friend Caterpillar heard our voices and joined the conversation.
“Why are you awake and not letting me sleep?” – he asked.
Well, we told him briefly what happened.
The Caterpillar shared his thoughts with us. “I will soon become a butterfly and will not crawl, but fly. And this is not a circus! So everyone can change.”
I was very happy that the Caterpillar understood me.
But the Guard said: “The Mouse King wanted to destroy the Nutcracker! So he is a Bad Guy. My task is to defeat him! And now he does not want to give the Princess her Briefcase and comes up with all sorts of excuses to postpone our battle. He is our enemy, and I will challenge him! ”
“Oops! But what about the kids--mice? How do we finish the story for them?” I asked.
“Let's go to bed already! The morning is wiser than the evening!” said the Caterpillar suddenly.
{{ subscriber.first_name }}, what do you think? Do we need to finish reading the Nutcracker fairy tale to the mice? Difficult question, right?
I have to go to sleep now. The morning is wiser than the evening…
Good night,
Your friend Mr. Oops
