Letter from the Kingdom of Tune #5: Maid of Honor: I have a SURPRISE for you today!
Hello, {{ subscriber.first_name }}!
The Maid of Honor of Queen Tonic writes to you! You can call me Miss Me.
If you want to hear how my key sounds, find me on your instrument! It is to the right of the two black keys. Thanks to me, they call it MI!
See? I'm here with my white kitten MiMi. I really love cats! I have a lot of them. I teach them music myself, and sometimes they help Queen Tonic and I to teach you!
Do you remember the exercise "White Cat -- Black Cat"? These are my favorite kittens helping you to play this exercise! I hope you can already play it very well. If so, then make a video for me and my cats and be sure to teach other children to play it!
I have a SURPRISE for you today! I will tell you a secret: from the exercise “White Cat -- Black Cat,” you can create the sound of a magic spooky wind!
Here is my magic recipe:
1. Take only 3 white and 2 black keys
2. Play the exercise from the Queen Tonic’s key to mine -- no further! The secret ingredient: don’t go further than my key!
3. Now play from my key back to the Queen Key.
4. Play it a few times! I prefer to play it 3 times.
Imagine that you sweep a broom in and out and make the sound of a mysterious, spooky wind!
I am also playing and listening to the cold wind howling in my room now. Wow!
I made a video for you! Do you like how I play my spooky song?
Oh, I have to interrupt my letter now! The Queen's Guard has come. He says that by her order I should immediately take the Princess Subdominant to my place and calm the poor girl down.
She is going to my bed, covering herself with my blanket and is crying! It turns out that her briefcase with notes is lost. Right before she has to go to Soft Mozart Academy! Oh, my…
I can't stand to see the tears of my beloved Princess! Try to alternately press my keys and hers, you will hear how unbearably sad it sounds. Meanwhile let me go and try to comfort her a little:
Following the Guard into my boudoir, one of my cats called MiMiMi also sneaked in. He (the cat!)has a completely dumbfounded look!
I set the cat on my lap. The Princess is near now and opens the book of fairy tales. What could be better than an interesting story to calm the kids down?
Do you like to read books? What is your favorite? Mine is . . .
Oh, sorry! The Queen’s Guard just came in again to say goodbye. He is being sent on a quest to find the Princess’s briefcase. This is very sad news for me because . . .
Sorry, got distracted! While we were talking with Knight, Subdominant has stopped crying and is painting MiMiMi’s portrait. She shows me her drawing, and I like it a lot! What about you? I have also found our old photograph with the Guard and I get even more upset because I will miss him.
Tomorrow the Kingdom of Tune will be different! There is going to be . . . Sorry, I will write later. In the meantime, here's a goodbye photo! Do not be bored! Read your favorite book, play my new exercise, paint… Be creative!
... and don't forget to teach your friends how to play the exercise that I shared with you today!
See you!
Your new friend from Kingdom of Tune,
Maid of Honor Me
Princess Subdominant and all my cats say “Hi!,” too.
